Cellulite?... Eat more cherries!

One of women's greatest nightmare today is undoubtedly cellulite. The appearance of cellulite sometimes is inevitable, but it can be prevented.

Cellulite is a condition in which the skin has a dimpled, lumpy appearance. It usually affects the buttocks and thighs but can also occur in other areas. Cellulite occurs when fat deposits push through the connective tissue beneath the skin.

A regular exercise practice cannot cure cellulite—but in many cases it can help prevent or reduce its appearance. Cellulite occurs when connective fibers underneath the skin become weak or lose their elasticity, but stretching and strengthening those areas (in addition to burning away excess fat overall) can help.

Cherries–deliciously tart, yet wonderfully sweet at the same time. Cherries are supposed to be one of the primary enemies of cellulite, for a number of reasons.

First of all, cherries are loaded with antioxidants, particularly anthocyanins. Anthocyanins are one of the many antioxidants that help your skin to produce more collagen, the protein that prevents the breakdown of skin tissue. By consuming more antioxidants, you give your skin the nutrients it needs to fight cell aging and stay firm and fresh.

They also contain a lot of iron, potassium, phosphorus, sodium, magnesium, vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and C. They are rich in carbohydrates and fiber, and their caloric intake is low.

Cherries are fairly low in sugar, so they won’t cause an increase in your blood sugar levels. They can help you to keep your weight under control, making it easier for you to burn the fat on the backs of your legs and buttocks.
